How to Play

You win this game by getting the most points

You get points in 3 ways

1.Complete cards

There are over 120 cards scattered all across NYC. The harder the card the more amount of points it's worth.

Note: If you’re the only team that has completed a card by the end of the game, you get 2x points on that card. So if a card is worth 50 points and no one else completes it by the end you get 100 points.

2. Get Wanda-rer stars

Complete challenges that can only be beaten by one team.

You’re only allowed to submit these challenges ONCE. All further challenge submissions will be ignored

3. Find JJ

JJ is hiding somewhere in NYC! Find him before the time runs out

JJ will be hiding somewhere in NYC. You can spend points to ask him questions about where he’s hiding.

You’re only allowed questions once per game.
JJ will be hiding twice: First in Queens between 12:00 - 2:40PM.
Then in Brooklyn between 3:20PM - 6PM

Rules

Now that you know how to play here are some things you should know!

The game does not start and you cannot complete cards until 10:30AM
75% of your team must be present for you to complete a task (no splitting up!)
All verification happens in your discord channel for your team. If you don't have a discord make sure you get one and sign up for the chat!

Apple and Google are not sponsors of this event and are explicitly not involved for any part of this scavenger hunt.
The “spirit of the game” will always be how we judge submissions.
- I won’t judge a solid attempt at a card! If there are minor mistakes I’ll let it slide! But make sure you read the card cause people miss things.
- Also a slight note: I trust y'all not to do really weird things as a way to be clever.
Use of AI to modify images and videos for verification is strictly forbidden and will result in an immediate ban
- To make it a little clear: This is a creative project and I want to see your creativity. I care about seeing your personality including in how you find me.
- Speaking of…try not to use AI to do the work for you here in research. That’s dumb and you’d be dumb for doing it. Literally use your brain and classic hunting. I can’t stop you from using it for research but it removes the fun of the hunt.
If you even mention how I could use “Claude code, Openclaw, Gemini, or any other AI assist tool” to do whatever it is you have in mind. -50 points immediately. I am so serious
