Get a team of people and prepare for the wildest boardgame, challenge, and scavenger hunt. You’ll be in the subways, in the sky, finding unique items, and maybe even doing a little bit of hide and seek. You have a maximum of 7 hours to complete challenges across NYC and Whoever gets the most points will be crowned winner of the first NYC Scavenger Hunt by JJ.
Rules
The goal is simple: Get the most points.

You get points by completing cards

The harder the card the more points you get. However, the most points you can get is physically finding me in New York City.

You can find me by spending points you earn to ask questions from a list to find me.

Whatever team finds me in the shortest time will get a large amount of points
Where can I hide?

I'll hide twice. Once at 2PM in Brooklyn and another at 4PM in Queens.

I'll never be further than 10 minutes from a train station

I will also give which borough I'm in at the very start of each round

The cards will be released a few days before. You can strategize as much as you want, however you CANNOT start working on cards until 10:30 AM

FAQ
Can I come late?
Yes! You’re more than welcome to start/end at any point after 11. The game is very much a drop in and drop out affair

Can I start anywhere?
Yes. You’re allowed to position yourself wherever you want to. So if you want to be next to a challenge you can clean easily go for it!

Can my team split up?
No. Y’all need to be together for it! (though people can join and leave the team at any point.) 75% of your team needs to be together to complete a task

Sweet! Just click the checkbox that you want a team on the form and that’s all you gotta do. As long as I know you I’ll try to match you with people that I know.

Can I do this solo?
Technically yes. I’ve made sure that everything is possible by yourself. However if you want to do it solo cause you’re afraid, I promise my friends are very cool (and so are you!).

What’s the max players?
I highly, highly recommend you have a group of less than 6. Afterwards we do put penalties on your group size. With the max group size being 10 people (and each card only gets you 25% of the points)

Could we get more points for less people?
...No

But couldn’t I split into 2 groups of and we all walk together?
Yes! And I genuinely don’t mind that. The rule of splitting is made because honestly after 6 people a group becomes unwieldy and hard to play a full game.
